”Possessing a distinctive, beautifully elegant sound, this ensemble has had a steady stream of success including winning several prizes”

The Strad

SINCE 2013

TRIO CONCEPT

Trio Concept was founded in 2013 from the youthful encounter of three musicians from Turin: Edoardo Grieco (violin), Francesco Massimino (cello), and Lorenzo Nguyen (piano).

In October 2024, the ensemble decided to change its original name – Trio Chagall – to Trio Concept, in order to highlight the cohesion of an artistic journey spanning over a decade, centered on the very concept of the trio as the core of their musical activity and a constant source of creative drive.

Why this name?

The new name is inspired by the verses of Michelangelo Buonarroti, which reflect the trio’s artistic commitment: to seek out and reveal the beauty that lies hidden within every work, and to let it be reborn through performance—just as the sculptor uncovers the perfect form within the block of marble.
